Beating The Gremlins At Their Own Game

Today all usb connections but my mouse stopped working on my computer. What the? Even my printer and camera. I had no idea what to do as without my printer and external hard drive my computer is pretty useless for about half of my uni work. So I did a bit of detective work on the net, opening and closing my Device Manager more times than I can remember trying out ideas and suddenly there was a super simple idea.

Here’s what it was, turn your computer off and then turn the power off at the socket for a few seconds to drive the power gremlins out…then turn it all back on. And hey, what do you know, it worked. I have everything back on again. How weird is that! I really thought for a second I’d need a new computer. Thank goodness I don’t.

Now onto the photos what show a lovely mother/daughter day had by all. The first is the picnic just started and the second shows us stuffed with corn cakes, jelly and chocolate cake.

And here’s Jordan at the Bell Tower standing on the swans. We went for lunch at the Indian place where you pay what you feel (I felt $10). You can see it in the background on the first floor.

She looks like and angel

Here's the pic I paid $134 for!!!!! See it's really pretty but boy, it had better be for the price. But hey i think it's adorable and all I need now is a really pretty frame for it and it can be hung up. Thats a little job for next week.

Happy Birthday babe. May you have many many more.

Here are a few photos from our Saturday outing. It was such a lovely day, I’d love to plan more just like it.

Today is another mummy-daughter day for us again. Jordan is super excited but she seems to think it means going to the video store and today that is not going to happen. I was thinking, we’ll make a cake and some jelly and have a little picnic for just the two of us. She should love that as every kid loves a picnic.

I’m just making use of this quiet time before Jordan wakes up to put in this post, read a few messages and do a bit of research for an assignment. It’s really nice before she wakes up because the house is so grownup then…no kids tv or dolls being played with in the background. Still I must admit listening to her play with dolls is one of the nicest things in the world to me.

Jordan and her tower

This is the tallest building in the world according to Jordan. She's so proud of it...look at the lean, any second and it's going over.

Spring is in the air da da da da da da

Cant sleep tonight. The wind is so loud and even though it was a pretty nice day yesterday it seems to have changed for the worse. Jordan and I have been keeping busy buying presents for my sister and watching the Foxtel man install Foxtel onto mum and dads tv (dad decided, since he never treats himself to get it). I could sit there all day watching it but thankfully it’s not at my place and mum hates it when people just come over and watch tv.

Things are pretty quiet here, there’s little happening. There is the odd bit of news, I nearly got knocked over by a crazy kid on a bike yesterday while out walking (and he didn’t have a helmet so one day the joke will be on him), I’m trying to finish an assignment to hand into today and for some reason I’m not having a hard time with it and therefore thinking I’m doing it all wrong.

So here’s a few photos that Jordan and I have taken. The flowers were so pretty and Jordan just loves jumping on the trampoline, especially when I have the window open and can watch her…hence the photo. You should see how many I took.

It's a bug, I think, Jordan took it, she's been dragging in all sorts of things from the garden.

See how I cant resist taking more and more photos of my little cutie.

I think it’s time for bed again. Hopefully I can get back to sleep.
